Welcome to the Yakulla Caverns at the Phoenix Zoo!!!

Yakulla Caverns officially opened September 13th, and will be open year round. They feature cave geology including stalactites, stalagmites, columns, flowstone, and waterfalls. A very realistc portrayal of an actual cavern. As you see in the pictures, the water park consists of 60 spray jets, and a blow horn that is set to spray every 30 minutes. For those of you not exploring for the day, there is a snack bar and plenty of shade located nearby.

On opening day the kids had an exciting run through the caverns while getting drenched by one of Splash Zone's awesome entrances. A waterfall entrance consisting of a spash pad area that flows into a stream, creating unexpected flash floods. So when visiting a Splash Zone creation, be sure to bring your towels!
